5 LIFE LESSONS TO LIVE BY - Inspirational & Motivational Video

If you ever find yourself not moving forward in life, chances are you are not learning the lessons the universe is giving to you. If you do not learn the lessons, they will keep repeating.

Some motivation here if you need some advice on learning the life lessons.

Understanding Life Lessons

Life lessons are classes you cannot afford to fail. The lessons of life should not be ignored. Life chose us, we did not choose it. What you learn in life will determine your faith. If you ignore what life teaches you, you are bound to repeat the lesson again. Many of us have experienced traumas by repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Life offers no apologies or gives any passes. What you put in is what you get. The key to succeeding with those lessons is to pay close attention to what life is offering you.

The lessons come in many forms. You can learn from observing failures/successes of others and from your own personal experiences. The lessons are there to guide you. When you practice to just get by you will find yourself falling behind. To do just enough to just get by puts limitations on your life. When you put forth the extra effort, you gain the clarity and insight to succeed. That extra effort imparts the knowledge that you can accomplish anything in life if you stick with it. To accomplish anything you put your mind to, requires knowledge. With knowledge you gain wisdom. Wisdom is a key ingredient to sustaining and moving forward in life. Without wisdom, the odds of failure are greatly increased.

As we move forward, we take from our past experiences, lessons that provide us positive energy. The knowledge gained from those constant lessons mark the footprints of past failures and successes. We gain a considerable amount of knowledge from both. How we use this knowledge is an excellent measurement as to how much wisdom we have gained. Life is continuous, never stopping and never reversing. What we take from the past must fuel us for the future. The quality of your future is dependent on how you apply the wisdom that you now, have knowledge of. Your character reflects what you have learned in life and how you apply that knowledge. Character is important, because it's what you are, even when no one is looking. It reflects your beliefs and your values.

Your beliefs and values can be attributed to what you have experienced and learned throughout your life. When the focus has been sharpened by constantly applying the principles and values learned throughout your life, you shorten the amount of time it takes to reach your goals. This does not suggest that there are shortcuts. Hard work, dedication, drive, tenacity and intelligence will all need to play their part.

The simpler things are the more complex they seem to be. It is impossible to ignore some of the tragedies that life has brought without warnings, planning or prior consequences. We never saw these things coming. These types of incidents in our lives will test our faith, beliefs and strength. They also help to build character. Steel sharpens steel. Every incident, every heartache, every loss adds to the fibers of you. They contribute to your direction, your focus and allow you to gain strength through experience.

You gain the fortitude to continue to move forward, regardless of the adversity. Every gain, every move has a purpose. Because of the attention that you paid to the lessons taught you so far, the better you are able to empower your destiny. To master how you control your feelings and actions, allows you to master your destiny.

The 5 Lessons In Life People Learn Too Late

Sometimes we leave things too late to do. Learning from others in the life lessons they have learnt can mean that you do not make the same mistake.

The video is a great example of life lessons that you need to know in order to live the life that you want to have.

Seven Universal Life Lessons

We are all here learning important life lessons, evolving into wiser, purer human beings. As we learn our lessons we feel happier, lighter, more expanded, yet more humble. We recognize that everyone is on a journey to wholeness and enlightenment and that journey is not easy, but fraught with obstacles, hindrances, and problems, big and small. It is in the overcoming of these things that we move on to another level, until eventually we reach, what many have called "enlightenment." We all have a few lessons that are unique to us. For example, the lesson of Saying No or learning how to set clear boundaries (see My Personal Boundaries). There are also several universal life lessons that all humans must learn on this journey of ours.

Lesson 1: Learning not to judge.

We have no right to make a judgment of anyone, including ourselves. We do not know what the other person is learning on their journey, or what they are here to teach us on our journey. Sometimes the most annoying, frustrating person in our life teaches us our greatest lesson. It takes a lot of sand and grit to create a pearl.

When we look at others and judge them, we are judging ourselves. They are mirroring what is going on in us. When we don't want to accept the shadow side within ourselves, we point our finger at others: "Look at her! How can she do that? How can she be so selfish?" By projecting our hate and judgment outwards, we avoid and deny the reality inward.

So, let go of judgments. Set yourself free. As you reign in judgment, you will feel free. Each time you make a judgmental statement or have a thought about someone else (or yourself), just remind yourself to let it go. Replace it with silence or a positive thought or statement. See how it makes you feel. At first it will seem strange, but as you break the habit of judging, you will feel lighter, freer and more positive and loving.

Lesson 2: Learning to Love.

See the spark of light within yourself and every person you meet. This is our soul/spirit within. We were all spiritual beings before we chose to come to earth in human form. As spiritual beings, we were and are exquisite. If only we could catch a glimpse of how amazing we are in the spirit! Try looking deeply into someone's eyes and see if you can sense their soul. The eyes are the window to the soul. The more you look, the more you will see spirit within. Whether it is the beggar on the street, a child playing in the park, or an old man in a nursing home; the beautiful, the deformed, the smart, the mentally disabled, the overweight, the anorexic, the schizophrenic.....whoever it is, whatever their shell, deep within them is a soul. This is what we are asked to love. It may not be easy to love the unkempt beggar, or the schizophrenic or the grumpy old man; look for the soul within them and love that. Recognise that they took on a difficult task, choosing to come into this world in their present form and live a life with obstacles and challenges that you or I do not have to endure.

Lesson 3:Learning to Give (serving, helping, nurturing, teaching.)

We live in a narcissistic culture that prides itself on selfishness and greed. But we all know deep down that happiness comes from giving out. Even the wealthiest know the satisfaction that comes from giving to others. We all have talents, gifts and abilities that we can use to bring happiness to others. Whatever you do in life, do it with your whole heart, like you are doing it for a king. Whether it is a profession like nursing or teaching or engineering, or a menial job like garbage collecting or cleaning houses, give totally of yourself. You are important to the overall scheme of this world. All parts are needed for it to flow smoothly. What would we do without people willing to collect our garbage? How would we survive without those dedicated to cleaning the washrooms? Recognise that your role is important, valued and essential. Then give freely.

Giving freely does not mean enabling. Each person must learn his or her own lessons. If we jump in too quickly and save someone from the consequences of their behaviour, we are enabling. That is not helpful or needed.

Giving freely also does not mean martyrdom. Give out of a pure heart, not from a place of resentment or obligation.

Lesson 4: Learning to Forgive.

Leave the past behind. If you want forgiveness, then forgive others. I'm sure you have needed forgiveness at one time or another. You have wronged someone, hurt them or spoken harshly, treated someone coldly or turned away and then felt bad, guilty maybe, and wanted their understanding and forgiveness. Do the same for others. They are human too. Yes, there are situations when it is harder to forgive, like abuse as a child. But the opposite of forgiveness is holding on to anger, resentment and bitterness. Lesson 6 talks about negative thoughts and how they can fester within us and create illness. This is what you need to let go of. This is why forgiveness is necessary. The consequence to yourself is too great not to forgive.

Lesson 5: Learning to Live in the Present.

This moment is all we have. It is all that is guaranteed. The past is finished. The future is unknown. We have no control over either. Yet we waste so much time and energy worrying about the future and fuming about the past. Let it go. Live for this moment. Enjoy what is happening right now. Make plans, but don't live for tomorrow. Live for today. As you wake up each morning, be grateful that you are given another day to learn more lessons. You are given more chances to get on track, to live more honestly and openly, to love more, and to give more. Then set your mood for the day, by holding your hand over your heart and thinking about 4 things that make you feel warm inside: the smile of your two year old, the roses growing in your garden, snorkeling in Maui, a hug from your mother. This is living in the present. Experiencing emotions. Loving others. Giving of ourselves. Being who we are meant to be. Living our truth. Noticing what is around us. Being grateful for all that we have. Knowing that all is well. If tomorrow doesn't come for us, we can be ready for that, by living each day in the moment.

Lesson 6: Learning to Respond, not React.

Do you get upset by what others say or do to you? When you feel hurt, angry, irritated or scared by what someone has said or done, do you say or do things to punish them? Remember they are your teacher. Your life is about you, not them. One of the hardest lessons to learn is how not to be affected by another person's emotions. If someone is angry and lashes out at you, whose emotions are we dealing with? Theirs, right? Do you want your own emotions to be controlled by someone else? That's what you are doing if you lash back with the same anger that was dished at you. Let the other have their anger. Do not allow anyone to stir up your emotions. You take charge of your own emotions and let others own theirs.

What does it mean to respond, not react? Reacting is allowing our emotions to be dictated by someone else. Responding is thinking first and deciding from a higher self perspective how to be in different situations. If someone yells at you, your reaction would be to yell back. To respond would involve staying centred and reminding yourself that they can't make you feel anything. Hold on to your personal power and speak from that place when you respond. Perhaps you say something like, "Please don't yell at me. Let's discuss this in a civilized way." You become a master, not a victim. It feels so much more empowering.

Lesson 7: Learning to Focus on the Positive.

Guard your thoughts. Focus on the good, uplifting and positive in everything. Flee from negativity. If we only knew how powerful our thoughts were, we would be so much more diligent in what we think and believe. Quantum physics has demonstrated that if we focus positive thoughts on water as it freezes, the result will be beautiful intricate ice particles. Prayer is focused thought. Meditation, reiki, visualization are all based on focused thought.

Thinking negatively creates disease. Bitterness, anger and resentment show on a person's face in wrinkles and vacant eyes (where is their soul?) and in their body in arthritis, heart attacks and cancer. Please, for your own health, let go of negative thinking. It is a habit that can be broken if you are determined to be free. It takes 21 days to change a pattern, so over the next 3 weeks try to change any negative thoughts into positive ones. Or simply notice when you think negative thoughts about something or someone and consciously say to yourself: "There's another negative thought. Let it go." Eventually, you will learn to think more positively. And you will notice a change on your inside: you will feel better, happier, lighter, and more buoyant. You might even laugh more. Perhaps you will live more in the moment. Experiment with positive thinking and see what happens. You just might be surprised.

When You're Lost - Motivational Video

If you have ever had feelings that you are lost? I have been there and you start to think that life is going against you. In reality it is a decision not to act. I had to find what motivated me to move in a direction in order that I made progress.

One of the first things I did was discover what I passionate about in order to make progress. Tony Robbins states that "Happiness is making progress" and thus I was prepared to work on myself and by doing that I slowly realised that I did become happier.

But, I did find that it was not easy. There were days when I thought that I will never make it to where I want to be. However, because I was moving forward, sometimes slowly, I started to meet people who were able to inspire me, who had skills and knowledge, to be able to move quicker towards my desired goals.

Getting a coach was also a key factor in my life, going to learn from great mentors, getting more education in terms of money management, relationships, and getting out of my comfort zone. The more you learn, the better your life will be.

I leave you today with a video, some of whom I have had the privelage of learning from, to help you get inspired to start making some progress!

Feeling Lost In Life Can Lead To A Better Life

Have you ever felt lost in life and that the world around you-- all that you see through the land, sea, and air-- just doesn't seem to be home? Or, phrased differently, something feels like it's missing in your life and that you can't seem to find yourself, but you can't seem to pinpoint it, or even narrow it down?

The circumstances or situations going on around making you feel lost in life you may divert your attention for a while, until the lingering memory or sense of a greater reality comes back to haunt you and seem to own you. You still feel lost, or like an alien from somewhere unknown.

How often have we all said, "I wish I could find myself," or "I just can't seem to touch what has been bothering me so I may heal and have a better life"?

You may experience such a stage of feeling lost in life that passes with the help of time; but then with more time that "lost" feeling arises again. Your experience tells you that nothing is different in the way you feel, other than this time you are older.

Feeling lost in life is not always a bad thing and may just be a necessary feeling to help you find yourself.

This longing for change and a better life can mean that you are beginning to see the light through the fog. This can mean you are beginning to sense your real Home.

This may be a subtle feeling that surfaces every now and then, sometimes nothing more than a tiny throb, and at other times a blur that is hardly remembered-- actively dismissed, but sure and persistent to return. Miracles help us see why no one ever figures out where this place for a better life might be that has claim to your naturalness.

Many try to shrug off feeling lost in life, or hide their suffering in dreams, or in games they play to occupy their time and keep their sadness suppressed. Others will deny any such feelings and not recognize or admit their fear at all. And most people will maintain that what I speak of here is a figment of the imagination.

It's as though you are here in exile.

Who, in simple honesty, without being self-deceived and defensive, would deny he understands what I mean about feeling lost in life?

Is There Really Any Stability I Can Achieve?

The individuals who seek for change and a better life have been uncertain, in an endless search through the fog for what he or she can not seem to find, while not recognizing that they already hold onto it. Their full potential is within them!

This article is to get you thinking about your own real natural gifts, and is for everyone who walks this planet and who wants to understand that it is okay to be seeking for something stable, because you surely are lost and seemingly not at your real Home.

Getting through the fog and reaching your full potential.

Miracles show us that the light that joins you and your brother shines throughout the universe, and because it joins you and him, so it makes you and him one with your Creator.

Striving continues for the perfect family and home, the career, cars, the vacations and all the toys, which are all fine, and you should enjoy these things.

None of this gives contentment to our foggy and restless mind, or heals feeling lost in life with one thing for sure: the fear of death and hell, and believe it or not, the fear of the gate to Heaven.

To your full potential!

DECISION - Motivational Video

Making a decision - sometimes the hardest thing we do. Sometimes we get so paralysed that we don't make a decision (which in itself is a decision). Sometimes we just have to face the fear and take action. Taking action allows us to come through the situation and make progress. When we make progress we are able to better decisions more often and we then forget what caused the indecision.

Make today the day where we make committed decisions!

The Six Human Needs That We All Need!

Did you know that there are six human needs that drive all human behaviour?

I am a huge fan of Tony Robbins and the work that he does, he has helped thousands and thousands of people through his coaching and products and seminars.

Tony states that there are six human needs that drive all human behaviour, I would like to share these six human needs with you right now.

Certainty. We all want comfort of one sort or another, and much of this comfort comes in the form of certainty. Of course there is no ABSOLUTE certainty, but we want certainty in our lives, we want certainty the car will start, certainty that our currency will keeps its value, and certainty that our children and our spouses love us. These are just a few examples of the certainty that we all crave.

Variety. It is a bit of a paradox because as well as wanting certainty humans also desire variety. There needs to be just enough uncertainty to provide a spirit of adventure in our lives.

Significance. Deep down we ALL want to be important, we all want our lives to have meaning and significance. There can be no worse feeling than to think that your life does not matter.

Connection and Love. It would be hard to argue against the need for love. We all want to feel cared for and cared about, we want to feel part of a community. This can be reflected throughout the classes, whether it be upper class belonging to an exclusive club, whether it be middle class belonging to The Rotary club, or The Freemasons, down to the working class belonging to a working men's club or Motorcycle club or down to the teenagers who are so desperate for a sense of belonging that they join a street gang.

Growth. There will be some who say that they do not want to grow, I think they are simply scared to get out of their comfort zone, (which brings us nicely back to certainty) to become better individuals, to stretch our skills, to get out of our comfort zones is more evident in some than in others, but it is most definitely there. Humans are organic organisms, like plants, and trees and flowers, therefore if we are not growing then we are most certainly dying, little by little, and day by day, but dying nonetheless.

Contribution. The desire to contribute something of value, to help others, the power to make the world a better place than we found it is in all of us.

These six human needs are the driving force behind all human behaviour, if you can understand these six human needs and how they influence your actions then you will be able to live a more fulfilled life.

Tony Robbins: Why Relationships Are So Hard (Tony Robbins Relationships)

When you are having relationship problems, it is important that you do not focus on yourself, but that of your partner. I have been in situations before that I wanted to blame my ex for what she hadn't done.

When you stop focusing on your partner, that is when you start to lose them. In my previous relationship I did not feel loved, important, and because of that I went and focused on my work because it was easier than trying to fix the relationship.

Naturally, the relationship ended. It was only after the relationship ended that I realised this. When I coach people in relationships, I have ample experience in what not to do, and can better coach them to fix the problems they are having.

This video from Tony Robbins, really underpins the requirements you need to fix any relationships.

Handling Your Relationship Problems

RELATIONSHIP AND RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS

It appears or so it seems that there must be a relationship problem in every relationship. This is one aspect in relationship that very many people pray they will never experience. But be sure and understand that the only place where relationship problems will not occur is a place where there is no relationship at all. No matter how small or casual a relationship looks like, there are problems associated with it. The earlier you learn this truth the more prepared you would be when these problems arise. Most times while we find it difficult to get along again with our partner after having a relationship problem is because often than not we don't prepare for them before they come. Actually nobody ever wishes to experience any problem in his or her relationship but we can never no matter how we try run away from relationship problems. While I want this stuck in your head is for you to understand that it is not a strange thing for you to be passing through this kind of relationship problems. Have you heard of the saying that says that "what goes for the duck is also good for the geese" meaning that somebody somewhere is also having a serious challenge in his or her own relationship. You see, you are not alone on this side of the ship. Yes there are some persons whose relationship problems are more terrible than the one you might be thinking that you have. So my dear relationship problems are actually one of the features of relationship. Though you are free to pray not to have these problems at all but my candid advice is that you should create a room for it in your heart. i don't mean you should harbour or create problems for yourself, but to know what to do when it eventually comes. This will enhance you with the utmost wisdom you will need to handle the situation maturely. Don't worry, no matter what it is, it will soon wear out like the snow when the sun smiles.

CAUSES OF RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS
Now, having understood that relationship problems are part of the ways of a relationship. Let's now look at reasons why a relationship would always have challenges. There are lots of relationship problems scattered all over the world. So it will be very difficult trying to enumerate all the relationship problems and what causes them. But I will try and see how best you will be helped in discovering those things you must have neglected that are trying to cost you your relationship. It is until you discover the cause of your problem you may not exactly know how to handle them.

There is another fact I would want to make you understand. Sometimes when people start having problem in their relationship, they more often than not exonerate themselves from being the cause of the relationship problem, they only see a greater percentage of the problem in the other person. Let me share with you some pivot reasons why most relationship have problems. Perhaps you would have a deeper understanding of your situation.

LACK OF UNDERSTANDING
This is one of the millions and billions of reasons while people are having relationship problems. Before you can walk or work with anybody, there must be a sense of understanding. Because you have refused to understand your partner, wife children, parent, siblings, friends, etc. that is why it looks as if the issue you are having now would not be resolved. What does it mean to understand? It means that both of you or all of you that are involved in the relationship are seeing things from different angles. When you say cheese and your partner says nuts, I don't think that there is any agreement at all. If you look critically into the relationship problems you are having now, you will discover that you are lacking understanding or rather you are refusing to understand and agree about some matters with your partner. Most times when you disagree, you will hardly see your own mistakes that contributed to your relationship problem, all that your eyes will be opened to is the faults and problems caused by your partner or spouse. It is also the same in his or her own side.

TOLERANCE
Tolerance simply means being able accommodate, being able to condone no matter what. Are you so disciplined that you don't take shit from anybody? Are you so careful that you don't want to accommodate any weakling in your life or business? How about your idiosyncrasy? Maybe you are a perfectionist at several points? These are some of the things that can engineer lack of tolerance in your relationship and where there is no tolerance there must be a lot relationship problems. It is as simple as that, when there is no tolerance, relationship problems settle as fast as they could. This issue of lack of tolerance has shipwrecked and sunk a lot of relationships. I do hope dear that you will not have to tell stories about that. How do you handle it you asked? Don't worry we shall deal with it shortly but let's look at another point that causes relationship problems.

EVIL COMPANY
Show me your friend and I will tell you exactly who you are and what you are capable of. Sixty percent of relationship problems encountered today are caused by wrong and evil advices gotten from friends. Do you want to solve your relationship problems? Then check out who are your best pals and how they have influenced your life. If you have not considered them worthwhile, I strongly suggest that you run away from them; especially those that will always advice you on how not to reconcile with your partner, those that will want the relationship problem that you are having to linger more than it is supposed to be. Do you read the bible? Then look at 1st Corinthians 15:32. It reports that evil company corrupts good manner. Be wise dear!

LACK OF MONEY
Once, a teenage girl said, "How can a relationship be sweet when there is no money." Money of course brings a lot of good moments into a relationship, in the house, family, company, etc. but that does not mean that it is what matters most. Maybe you are the type that cannot endure hardship. Probably because there is no more money, you are now causing lots of problems between you and your spouse, parents, friends, etc. this is tragic! Some wives divorced their husbands because he is no longer bringing much money to the house again, I am pretty sure that you are not among that category. If you are then there is an urgent need for you to retrace your steps now. Let us try and see how we are going to handle these issues.

HANDLING YOUR RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS
I am going to briefly look at these points that I raised above so that we can start from there. If you want to be free from any relationship problems, then you must know how to be a man of understanding. Don't always be the right person but consider your partner in every and any matter or issue. Now let me tell you what happens when you misunderstand, you seem to exaggerate and compound your partner's blunder with respect to what is causing the relationship problem. You can hardly see your flaws and mistakes; all blames will be channeled to him or her.

For you to understand you must be able to listen and be patient with him or her. You must learn to appreciate his or her input in the relationship and also encourage him even when it seems that his best does not satisfy you. Always remember that it takes two to agree, so when you don't agree there may never be a remedy for your relationship problem.

You must learn how to accommodate his or her weaknesses, some men are very fond of pointing out other persons mistakes rather than their strength, this will only generate strife and compound your relationship problem. No man is perfect including you. There were times people tolerated your own flaws and mistakes and they accommodated you, they did not quarantine you nor raised dust over your head. Make room for your spouse mistakes; discipline yourself as to condone his or her weakness until the desired change is seen. This will make you to facilitate the help you give to him and you will never find yourself in a position of capitalizing on his or her mistakes to make relationship problems where they don't really exist.

Be careful about the company you keep. Be watchful over those you can proudly present as your friends. They, to a large extent determine your actions and your decisions. Have you realized that some characters are contagious? Maybe you are not keeping late nights but now you enjoy it. Was not a suggestion from a pal or a life style of one of your good pals? Quit evil company and communication and deal with your relationship problems so as to enjoy your relationship.

Do you have money please don't squander it, spend it wisely. But if you don't have, please do not go stealing. Be patient and work hard money will still come. Do not base the happiness of your relationship on money so that its absence will not cause any relationship problems. Both or all of you should put your heads and hands together and then sooner than you are expecting it, money wouldn't be a problem anymore.

Until you deal with your relationship problems, you may not have a sweet and lasting relationship so I want you to be committed in bringing back happiness into your relationships. Clear the wrinkled faces and let them shine with smiles. There is no point in allowing your sweet and wonderful times in the past to suffer because of relationship problems. I know very well that you can handle it.

The Truth Is All That Matters | Impact Quotes

Most people do not like the truth. It can hurt you, it can embarrass you, it can leave you unhappy, however, it will set you free.

When I work with clients, I always have a position that I will give them the truth. This is because I want them to be set free. I think this is really important. I have seen great change in people when they face their reality and make a conscious decision to change their direction of their life.

Would knowing the truth hinder you or make you realise that you can have an alternative outcome, even at first it is painful?

There are times when I see the truth it can be the real motivator to make the changes. It is not easy, but it is worth knowing.

Seek the Truth

What does the title of this article mean to you? What does seeking the truth encapsulate as a concept? I must confess the original title for this article was actually Speak the Truth. Upon reflection I felt it was more important to discuss seeking the truth, so the name was changed.
To me the truth represents that which is true to YOU. In a number of recent articles and video blogs, I've spoken at length about unconscious programmes and beliefs which obscure the truth from revealing itself.
Your truth is the essence of who you really are - that is, once you've removed the mental facade and emotional hurdles gained over the years. The truth is the authentic self - the soul's true essence. Have you ever met someone on occasions and thought the person is lacking a spiritual quality?
It's as though they were taking up residency in someone else's body. There may have been a vacancy to their words and actions which you're unable to explain - yet you sensed it. I certainly can attest to being in this position.
Our ability to sense energy in others is a remarkable human gift and one many alternative healers call our sixth sense. We all have this ability which lays dormant within us until we choose to activate it.
To seek the truth means to live your life according to your highest principles and values. There might be certain beliefs, values and ideals which you hold close to you. Here's a quick, yet simple list of my truths which I've gained over the years:
· I respect and honour myself and invite others to do the same.
· I value knowledge and wisdom.
· I respect everyone I come into contact with.
· I understand my purpose and my service to others.
· I honour my purpose by living in accordance with my higher self.
Some of my truths were borne of out hurt, betrayal and anguish, while other truths revealed themselves during silence and introspection.
Your truth is your roadmap for life. It is your guiding force - your light and beacon to navigate your way ahead. While we all make choices, our truth is the highest choice we have. Whatever you accept as your truth becomes your destiny. Your truth influences your beliefs, which ultimately influences your actions.
Seeking your truth is paramount to revealing your prominence among others. Recently in the US, Barrack Obama recognised same sex marriage in the eyes of the law. That was his truth, since he was compelled to declare equality among men and women alike. Whether you agree with him or not is your truth.
I sincerely believe we're all doing the best we can given the resources we have available. There may be times we offend others via our choices and actions. If it is our truth then it shouldn't matter, as long as we act morally and dutifully. I'm not suggesting that our truth harm or hurt others - rather the opposite. It should unite people together toward a common goal.
There have been many people in history who've pursued their truth by going against popular belief. Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King were two such men who firmly believed in a cause greater than themselves - truth and equality among men.
The purpose of this article is to compel you to seek your truth. What principles do you hold close to your heart? - Which you live by and honour. Do they serve you? How did you first come across them and was there ever a time you challenged them?
These are important questions to ask if you wish to discover YOUR truth. I purposely emphasised your in the last sentence to highlight the importance of discovering your blueprint for happiness and a fulfilling life.
Many of today's failed marriages exist since men and women have a nostalgic view of what the constitution of marriage embodies. Their truth is not their own; rather that of societies. Society (media, friends, family, colleagues etc) asserts that you're unhappy until you marry and have children. Unfortunately some women buy into this standard and often marry an incompatible partner at a young age to please parents or due to fear that they'll remain single forever.
Regretfully, divorce is inevitable after a number of years as they both mature and realise their truth no longer serves them - it was in fact someone else's truth.
While I'm using marriage as an example, we could be talking about career, finance or relationships. The key message is - discover your truth. It may take months, years or even decades. What's the rush? It's better to fall upon your own truth after all rather than live other people's truths?
There is inner freedom in the deep realisation of your destiny. Much like Gandhi and Martin Luther King, who were prepared to die for their truth. While I don't believe that such measures are necessary these days, discovering your truth is possibly the highest act of authenticity one can attain.
There is beauty and honour in someone who stands for something - someone who strongly believes in a purpose, a vision or an ideal that they lose sight of the smaller aspects of life. You needn't strive to be Gandhi - yet by discovering and living your truth, you lead others to do the same by standing for something which you strongly believe in.
As Albert Einstein reminds us in the opening quote - man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be. I invite you to discover the truth of what IS rather than what should be. Reveal your authentic self by becoming attuned to the very essence of your being.
Your true being is not concerned with what you do for a living, how much money you have, how many followers or Facebook friends you have. Your true nature wants to know what you deeply believe in, what makes you cry or laugh. It is concerned with how you treat those you love when you're down.
Seek the truth by seeking the questions which lead you toward your answers. In time, life reveals itself through you as you become the question; seeking the truth.

Are You A Happy Person, What Do You Say?

What do you say about yourself? Are you a happy person? If your reply is in negative then you need to think over it. All your education, intelligence, money, status and success is meaningless if you are not living a happy life. What is the reason of living if a person is not happy with his life?

I firmly believe that it is the right of every person to live a happy life but most people are not aware how to. Psychologists believe that 90% of our happiness depends on us while 10% depends on external circumstances, on which we have no or little control. If we are not living a happy life then it means that we are depriving ourselves of our 90% happiness due to our own narrow or negative thinking.

Always keep in mind that happiness has nothing to do with money or circumstances. I have seen rich people living unhappy life and poor people living happy life. In fact, it is the inner state of one's mind which keeps a person happy. You need to train your mind to be happy. If you decide to be happy no one can snatch your happiness. Some people are so much determined to be happy that even living in the worst circumstances, they manage to keep themselves happy. I salute such positive people.

I must stress that the top most reason of being unhappy is the negative thinking of a person. Negativity can ruin a person's life beyond imagination. My motto is "Positive Thinking, Happy Living". I am of the view that if you think positively, you can live happily, no matter whatever your circumstances. It is up to you how do you want to spend your life. How do you see, feel and live your life. How do you treat yourself, being a happy or an unhappy person.

It is a painful fact that the number of unhappy people in this world is increasing at a much higher pace than the happy people. On a daily basis, you see unhappy people everywhere, in the streets and in any business or organization, whereas, happy, helpful and cheerful people are rare to find. Because of the unsatisfied human nature, we are not in the habit of appreciating what we have. We have interlinked our happiness with the accumulation of material things and this is our biggest mistake. Things do not give happiness, thinking does.

To be happy is much easier than you think. All that you need is to cultivate the seeds of happiness in your mind. Why depend on others or circumstances? Why not create your own world, your own joy and your own happiness. No one else can make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Be the master of your own fate and the master of your own happiness. Choose to be happy. Bury your worries deep in the soil and start digging out the gems of happiness from there.

Start living your life as a happy person. A happy person gets happiness by giving and sharing. Share your fortunes with the less fortunate people. The more you give the more you get happiness in abundance and that is the beauty of giving. A kind hearted person is a happy person. Be a kind person. Be a helpful person. Appreciate the good qualities of other people.

Start your day with a positive state of mind. Every morning bow your head before God in gratitude for all His blessings. Be grateful to God for being in good health. Spend some time in praying and early morning meditation.

Be the master of your own destiny and the torch bearer of your happiness. Always keep in mind that a happy person:

- fights negativity with full force

- lives a purposeful and meaningful life

- is an honest and hardworking person

- is a kind and helpful person

- is a creative person who can create something out of nothing

- spends some time alone in meditation and establishing a link with God

Not only live your life as a happy person but also spread happiness. Making other people happy is not only a great service of mankind but also a source of seeking inner happiness.

Tony Robbins - The Money Mindset

Do you consider yourself to have the right mindset for money? Would you like to get more money into your life right now?

If that is the case I have a recording of Tony Robbins' talk on the mindset of money and he issues insights on why you are either attracting or reflecting money away from yourself.

Given the current circumstances, whereby we can be a bit frightened about Covid-19 and the effect it is having on our livelihoods, we always have a choice, we can see it as an opportunity or we can think of scarcity.

We have all had to adapt, myself included, especially when it is mainly face-to-face interaction that I am used to and this is going to be the norm for a while yet. This has though, given the opportunity to think of different ways of making money, rather than thinking that I am not going to have the money that I am used to.

What mindset do you have now when it comes to money having watched the video? Please share your comments.

Generating Wealth Through A Positive Money Mindset

Money is viewed in various and opposing ways ranging from extreme wealth being the ultimate goal, to money being the root of all evil. Undoubtedly, the truth lays somewhere in the middle, and certainly, an individual's mindset effects their immediate and future financial situation.

As a nation, we have come far from the system and trading and bartering. Money is a necessity, but is not in and of itself the answer to financial freedom or a lessening of problems. How many times has the millionaire publicly embarrassed himself by filing for bankruptcy, or the popular singer/songwriter struggled with addiction? On the contrary, a small amount of wealth in the hands of a responsible party goes a long way with lasting results. Long-term wealth begins with a positive money mindset.

Secondly, having a positive money mindset means accepting the fact that a lot of good can come from money and the individuals who have it. The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation helps millions of sick and poverty ridden people every year. Many popular television personalities participate in relays and raffles to bring money and awareness to a charity, often meeting the amount donated dollar for dollar with their own checkbook. A door of philanthropy opens to a person who gains a positive money mindset.

However, having a positive money mindset is easier said than done. Often parents unknowingly plant counter-active seeds in their children when the matter of money arises. Sayings such as "money doesn't grow on trees" and "money doesn't talk it swears" surrounds the whole field of finance with negativity. These nonconstructive assumptions are only fostered by a lack of communication about money in general leaving a child to wonder where money does come from. Sadly, many people may need to start from scratch and retrain their whole view on money in order to have a healthy and positive money mindset.

An easy place for someone to begin is with the money they already have. The more an individual looks on the bright side of their financial situation, the brighter the situation looks. Unfortunately, most Americans are living without a budget, which leaves them feeling frequently stressed and uneasy. If a person wishes to acquire any small amount of wealth, they must become responsible for the current money they manage, and they must feel confident with their budget and skills.

Only with a positive money mindset will someone be able to move out of a negative past, and into a stable and enjoyable future.

4 Ways to Change Your Money Mindset

Have you ever heard the saying "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."?

So when we are feeling stuck in a rut when it comes to our finances, how do we not get what we have always got? It requires a shift in mindset to make the changes that are needed.

There are ALWAYS new ways to look at things so it means making a change in our perspective and have a willingness to be creative.

Here are 4 Ways to Change Your Money Mindset:

1. Relationship with Money

Take the time to reflect on your relationship with money. How do you feel when you spend? How do you feel when you save? Are there money memories and triggers that make you act that way that you do? Become aware of the role that emotions play in your money life. Track these emotions to see if there are patterns.

2. Spend Consciously

Are you aware of where your money goes? Take the time to look at your spending habits. Are you consciously spending your money or does it just slide through your fingers until there is nothing left? Track your expenses, even for just a week. This will make you think more about where you spend money. You may be surprised to see where it really goes.

3. Share Your Plans

When we bring our thoughts and plans out into the open, they are much more likely to happen. Share your plans and dreams with someone. Not only will you create a support system, you will also increase your chances of success. You will be less likely to always do what you've always done if someone knows that you want to make a change.

4 Money Games

Make a game of saving money. I have a friend who never spends £2 coins because they are saved for holiday money. This is a game she plays with herself to make savings easier. Label jars, set deadlines, dream crazy dreams! Make it fun! Before you spend money, chant three times to yourself whatever it is that you are dreaming about (house, house, house) and your savings will be personal and more real.

There you have it! When we consider these four mind shifting steps, we begin to look at money differently. Change your money mindset and the possibilities are endless and great things will happen.

I can relate to this in many ways, I used to have a bad mindset when it comes to money. Then I learned some strategies that really help me get over the fear of losing money. I still use the money game to this day, albeit with £5 notes. For me, having a strategy is really important for the habits you need to acquire.

Rest assured that the mindset will change so that you see money in a positive way.

How to speak so that people want to listen | Julian Treasure

Have you ever had that time when no one will listen to you? Don't you find that frustrating? Yeah, I get that too.

For a long time I thought I was the only one it was happening in that way, but then I discovered that you have to speak to people in the way that they want to be spoken to in order for them to listen. It makes sense when you think about it, but the problem is we don't necessarily think about it, we just speak and we expect others to listen.

When I learned how to speak to people in the way they want to be spoken to it had a dramatic effect on the communication and rapport that I had with them. Suddenly, as if by magic, they started to respond better to my coaching, they would then see improvements in their body and mind, which ultimately made me become a better coach.

What are your thoughts on the video? I would love you to share them with me.

The ONLY way to stop procrastinating | Mel Robbins

What is the one habit that most of us would love to change? Would it be that we need to stop smoking, that we need to get to the gym or change the job we are in?

We live in an era whereby the internet is distracting us with adverts, cute kittens, epic gym fails, you name it, because it allows us to escape our reality.  I am someone who can procrastinate, it is a habit that I have been wanting to get rid of permanently.

But can we get rid of it? Supposedly we can get rid of it in a simple way and it is done by interrupting the behaviour that goes on in the brain.

Inside the mind of a master procrastinator | Tim Urban

Procrastination: The killer of dreams. Some of us spend a lot of time on social media, looking at cute animal pictures, people dropping bowling balls from great heights on to a trampoline and see what will happen.  We know what happens but we still do it over and over again.

But what is it like in the mind of a procrastinator? Tim Urban explains whats goes on in the brain of a procrastinator.

The Secret of Reprogramming Your Belief System

Every individual person has a unique belief system. There are similar systems of thought among various people but each and every human being has a very exclusive way of viewing the world around them. The billions of bits of information that make up your reality are a result of your thinking. Your individual belief system is made up of your thoughts and beliefs as well as the thoughts and beliefs that were handed to you at an early age before you were consciously able to choose what you think.

When your mind receives information it breaks it down into individual components, compares these bits of data to your existing beliefs and then takes this information and reassembles it as a mental construct. The human mind basically interprets the data according to all of its past experiences. Two people can view the same "reality" and experience very different things since their experience is a result of the reconfigured mental construct and not the "reality" itself. This mental construct is your personal version of the world that has been filtered through your current belief system and it creates a very specific signature vibration or frequency that is unlike any other persons.

All of your past experiences together make up what is called your belief system or what some have termed your paradigm. This belief system or paradigm is your perception of "reality" and it determines what you are capable of achieving in your life. If you want to change what you are experiencing in your life you must alter your current perception of "reality" by changing your belief system. To change your belief system you must REPEATEDLY impress your conscious AND subconscious minds with a new directive until this REPETITION changes your belief system or paradigm.

Nothing is "impossible" but you must implement some very basic concepts in order to produce the physical results of your desire. You must be persistent, have a clear mental image of what you want, generate passion or intense emotion about having the desire, and you must REPEATEDLY impress this onto the conscious AND subconscious minds until it manifests through the change in your belief system or paradigm.

How this is accomplished will vary from person to person. As an example, I like affirmations but if you just keep repeating a group of words this will not bring change to your situation or reprogram your existing belief system. Affirmations "work" for me because when I experience a "contrary belief" that is operating against my desired outcome, I can mechanically repeat the affirmation and then imagine how I will be so relieved to have what I desire. This simple process:

1) rejects the outdated belief,
2) replaces it with the desired end result,
3) generates a positive passion about the desire and then
4) causes me to relax and to
5) expect to receive my desired end result. I don't just think or say the words and stop. I allow the words to create the feelings of already having what I desire to have happen in my situation. I use my imagination to counter the negative aspects and to experience the emotions of truly having the desire.

Just setting aside twenty minutes a day to recite affirmations will not produce the desired results that you are hoping to receive. You have to use your imagination to generate feelings and images that communicate your desire to the subconscious mind. I have seen many "programs" for self improvement that offer ways to increase your finances. Most of these sell for about one hundred dollars and some even go up to around three thousand dollars! Don't get me wrong, some of these programs are worth their weight in gold but many of them keep you busy with dream boards, visualizations, and affirmations while they step around the core issues of making any meaningful change that brings results.

The bottom line in any "program" is quite simple in that you must change your current belief system to include new information while rejecting certain out dated or incomplete information that has been established as your beliefs. Let me say that again, the bottom line in any "program" is quite simple in that you must change your current belief system to include new information while rejecting certain out dated or incomplete information that has been established as your beliefs.

Many of the "programs" like I briefly mentioned above are very good at "getting your hopes up" without changing your belief system. They keep your conscious mind busy with activities and expectations but they often do not emphasize that in order to change your experience you must change your belief system through thoughts, images, and feelings of new information that are REPEATEDLY impressed upon the conscious AND subconscious minds. Without a change in your belief system by REPETITION of the desired thoughts, images, and feelings you will not see change in your environment even though you have some excitement about working your "program". Some of these "programs" produce some improvement and results by the sheer repetition of positive affirmation and thought but largely they take your money and do not change your belief system.

In order for a program of any kind to be effective it must change your beliefs. If you want to change what you are experiencing in your life you must alter your current perception of "reality" by changing your belief system. To change your belief system you must REPEATEDLY impress your conscious AND subconscious minds with a new directive through thoughts, images, and feelings until this REPETITION changes your belief system or paradigm.

1) You must be persistent,
2) have a clear mental image of what you want,
3) generate passion or intense emotion about having the desire, and
4) you must REPEATEDLY impress this onto the conscious AND subconscious minds until it manifests through the change in the belief system or paradigm.

If you can comprehend the above paragraph and implement it into your daily life and thought processes then nearly "any program" you choose to follow will work for you (including reading and rereading this book). You just have to keep in mind that while you are doing the "exercises" of the "program", and making your "dream maps" and "vision boards" what you are really doing is changing your existing belief system to include new information so that you become capable of having what you desire. It is not the "exercises", "vision boards", or "affirmations" that are making the difference it is their REPEATED impression of new information upon the conscious AND subconscious minds.

Many of these "programs" tell you that you must continue using their materials and buy more and more of them to succeed. The truth is that what you must continue to do is feed new information to your conscious AND subconscious minds by REPETITION of thoughts, images, and feelings until your belief system is sufficiently altered and produces the desired results. It is this continual feed of new information through repetition that is important, not the particular "program" that you choose as a means of accomplishing this goal. There are times that the best thing I can do to change my own belief system and feed new information into myself is to just sit in a lawn chair in my front yard and be grateful for all that I have and all that I am about to see manifest! The "sense" and "feel" of gratitude is a powerful force in attracting what you desire and in eliminating what is contrary to your desire. Bathe in this as often as you can!

Nothing is "impossible". In fact, the concept of "impossible" is only a mental construct (this term is explained in the book) that exists within your mind. All things are possible! You are the variable in any circumstance and you hold the "deciding vote"! Whatever you choose will be the outcome in any given situation! Working a "program" is a good practice but your outward physical existence will only change when you change internally by REPEATEDLY impressing the conscious AND subconscious minds with thoughts, images, and feelings of the new information.

To Change Your Belief System

1) You must REPEATEDLY impress your conscious AND subconscious minds with the new directive through thoughts, images, and feelings until this REPETITION changes your belief system or paradigm.
2) You must be persistent.
3) You must have a clear mental image of what you want.
4) You must generate passion or intense emotion about having the desire.
5) You must REPEATEDLY impress this onto the conscious AND subconscious minds until it manifests through the change in your belief system or paradigm.

Are you beginning to see the necessity of repetition? Repetition is what "deprograms" your existing belief system and then "reprograms" it with the new desire. How long it takes to "reprogram" your belief system will depend upon two things: what you have believed in the past that is contrary to the new belief, and how often you impress the new directive onto the conscious AND subconscious minds.

It is just that simple. The only thing that can stop your desire is if you do not impress the new directive onto your conscious AND subconscious minds. There are only two reasons why you would fail to do this once you know the "secret" of reprogramming your belief system: one is if you fail to REPEAT the directive enough times and the other is if you just give up! If you fail to REPEAT the directive enough times then you need to be more persistent. If you "give up" then what you need to do is have faith in the process (this term is explained in the book). Somewhere along your line of thinking you have convinced yourself that getting what you desire can't be as simple as changing your belief system through repetition. I remember thinking at the age of 52: you mean to tell me that everything I will ever need or want has always been mine? That everything is already mine and already available and the only thing that can stop or hinder it is my own limited thoughts and beliefs? You know what? It really is just that simple but to make the process work it takes persistence and repetition! You just have to follow the plan and cooperate with the process!

If you think that people or circumstances are your "problem" then think again! If you lack anything that you desire it is a result of the fact that your current belief system will not "allow" it to exist in your reality. Your current collection of thoughts, feelings, and beliefs are "not big enough" to contain the things that you lack. The Law of Rhythm observes that everything operates by rhythm and cyclic patterns or cycles. This law states that everything in existence is a dance where something must advance when anything retreats (sometimes called the law of vacuum). The tide goes in and out, night follows day, the moon waxes and then wanes, feelings are positive and negative. If you make room in your belief system for what you desire then you activate the law of rhythm and all of creation will rush in to fill the empty space with what you desire!

Remember that your outward physical existence will only change when you change internally by REPEATEDLY impressing the conscious AND subconscious minds with thoughts, images, and feelings of the new information. Enjoy your journey. Reading this will change your life!
